About
In 2017, The Hairbag Times was launched as a satirical news website focused on “The Job” and its unique, endlessly entertaining culture. In 2 years, over 50 articles and videos were created and posted to our original website, which garnered thousands of unique visitors from New York and beyond each month.
In 2019, we made the decision to discontinue making our writing public. We owe a great deal of gratitude to a particular civil rights organization for their guidance and assistance. We decided our written work should remain public, so we kept the original website active, albeit without new content.
In September 2020, we migrated our entire library from the original website onto this new, minimalist platform. This will ensure our work can remain publicly available over the long term. All articles have been posted in their entirety, as they appeared when first published (original dates have been retained). Some of the stories easily stand the test of time, while others were published in conjunction with current news events from that period.
We continue to be humbled by the support we receive for the brand even though we've stopped writing. We frequently see our patches, t-shirts, pens, and stickers still being worn proudly. One day, our unpublished work will be made public. In the meantime, please enjoy our archive.
Keep Laughing,
The Hairbag Times
